Training & Career Development

We offer high-quality training and career development opportunities in implementation science and health equity, including interactive workshops, seminars focused on the application of implementation science methods, career mentoring in implementation science research, and a T32 postdoctoral fellowship program. Our offerings equip researchers, clinicians, and public health practitioners with the skills to conduct implementation research that furthers health equity.

Training & Career Development at PRISE

  • digital illustration shows six professionals gathered around a teal conference table in a workshop setting. Three participants in lab coats and three in plain clothes engage with laptops, notebooks, and raised hands. At the front, a woman in a white coat points to a flowchart on a wall, its nodes and arrows rendered in teal, orange, and yellow. Warm oranges and yellows fill the scene, with teal accents on the table, window trim, and key diagram elements, conveying a collaborative Learning Health System workshop.

Using Implementation Science to Advance Learning Health Systems

The PRISE Center and Learning Health Systems E-STAR Center collaborated on the design and development of an implementation science (ImS) and learning health systems (LHS) workshop focused on equipping learners with core LHS and ImS principles that can be translated into clinical and public health practice.

  • Illustration of five scholars gathered around a table in a discussion. One person is standing and speaking while others sit, holding books and a laptop. The background shows a window and a wall-mounted board, creating a warm, collaborative setting in shades of orange, teal, and blue

Partnerships for Research in Implementation Science for Equity (PRISE) T32 Training Program

Our program supports post-doctoral scholars to gain interdisciplinary expertise in implementation science and health equity to increase the adoption and uptake of evidence-based interventions for heart, lung, and blood disorders in both clinical and community settings.

  • Illustration of public health professionals seated around two round tables in a presentation setting. A woman stands near a screen displaying a pie chart and bar graph, gesturing with one hand as she speaks. Participants take notes or use laptops.

Implementation Science for Public Health Training

This program, developed in partnership with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the UCSF Implementation Science Training program, increased implementation science capacity among researchers and public health practitioners at CDPH.
